How can you protect your brain during a night out?

Your liver can only process about one standard drink per hour. If you drink faster than that, the extra alcohol just circles your brain, turning down the dimmer switch faster and harder. Staying hydrated also stops your brain from shrinking due to dehydration, which is a major cause of the next-day headache.

Action

Try the 'one-for-one' rule: drink one full glass of water between every alcoholic drink.
