When did you last mistake chaos for conspiracy — or conspiracy for chaos?
Every character in Snatch sees patterns that aren't there. Turkish thinks Brick Top's fixed fight is a business arrangement; it's a trap. The robbers think they're pulling a heist; they're pawns in a diamond deal. We do this constantly — attribute intention to coincidence, or dismiss malice as incompetence. The film's genius is showing how both errors feel identical from inside the moment.
