Sunlight is made of all the colors of the rainbow mixed together.

Even though sunlight looks white or yellowish to us, it is actually a combination of every color. You can see this yourself using a prism, which is just a specially shaped piece of glass. When you shine sunlight through it, the glass bends the light and separates it into a rainbow on the wall. This shows that the colors were always there, just mixed together.
