Courage the Cowardly Dog is an American animated series created by John R. Dilworth.

John R. Dilworth created the series, which started as a short film called 'The Chicken from Outer Space' in 1996. The show was later turned into a full series that aired from 1999 to 2002 on Cartoon Network. Dilworth also founded the animation studio Stretch Films, which produced the show.
